Apply for an artist market at the Birmingham Comic-Con

I applied for an artist booth at the Birmingham Comic Con on March 30th, and drew many anime characters and made them into crafts to sell.
Since the price of an artist booth is very high, I applied for a position in cooperation with other artists.
This time I not only had to think about how to draw, but also what kind of crafts would be more suitable. I tried to make more interesting and attractive crafts, such as adding magnets to them so that the characters can change their clothes through magnetic attraction. Or make the badges three-dimensional and add a lot of pearlescent powder. I also made a lot of stickers, but the materials of these stickers are completely different, they are glittering. Although the cost price of the crafts has increased, their effects look more interesting!

I tried to find a store in the UK that can make special crafts, but unfortunately I didn’t find one. So I could only rely on the power of Chinese Internet stores (Taobao). Therefore, the cost of crafts has increased again, and I need to include the express delivery price from China to the UK.

I also conducted market research. Because the title of this exhibition is “Birmingham Game Show”, the illustrations I drew are all related to games. Because the exhibition is not big, and people who come to this exhibition are generally here to see the release of new games and some stunning game sculptures, I don’t think there will be many people buying game peripheral products. Therefore, I limit the number of each craft to about 20, and try to buy out the goods as the main goal.

As a first experiment, this is undoubtedly a success. I will continue to work hard and participate in more art exhibitions.
